Goings On

Over the past week/10 days an extraordinary amount things have come to pass. The overhaul of the kitchen, the trip to Seattle, the realization of the termination of spring break.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and I'm tired, so they'll have to do.

A small smattering from Seattle:
Cousin Anna, Zoe and friend Payton.
All such cuties!

Oh, I taught her well.
Silly Zoe with her cute funny faces.
Postcard picture from Kerry Park.
Stalin. 7 tons of him. In Seattle.

Linnea (the beautiful birthday girl), Janell, and me, sans makeup. Breakfast at a lovely European-style bakery. Good call, Jelly.

Confessions

Today, I:

ate unhealthy
ignored a call
slapped someone
forgot something
called people names

laughed at people falling down

All in all, it was a pretty rad day.

This One Deserved A Separate Post

"The Creepy Doll"
Don't you wish you get to wake up next to her.

It's Beautiful and Sunny but

I think I'll post more pictures from Bachelor. (I suppose it was sunny there, too, though more like 15 degrees than 60, like it is now.) As for today... I'm am forced to re-evaluate why Spring is not one of my favorite seasons.

Good things about Spring days like today:
-sunshine that is ... warm.
-bike rides to the post office with Pamela.
-only a few more days till Spring Break.

-shorts with zip-ups and sunglasses + shoes.
-snowboarding plans.
-fresh air.

-no school.
-sleep.

-birthday dinner with my dearest Rosie.

Now, for the rest of the promised pictures:Mmm... Alyssa eats snow - white snow.
Sunshine on NorthWest.
The magical snowscape at the bottom of Skyliner.
Esther knows how to keep the loading area clear.
Lyssa and I on the chair.
Jesse trys to look angry when we steal his pizza.

Bachelor Trip

This past weekend the college group from my church (+ a few awesome additions) drove over to Bend for a couple of days of riding in 4 feet of freshies, playing games, creating music and doing a lot of teasing.Group Photo Time.

Taste the Sunshine

or, if this were a work of asian poetry: "Good things that have recently occurred in the mostly insignificant life of a girl called Allison"

-A conversation I had with a 3 year old on friday.
Basically the cutest thing ever.
Me (reading a book about space to him before nap): Hm. The moon isn't very pretty, is it.
Gabe: (taking my hand) Wew... I think you'we pwitty!
Me: Oh! Why thank you.
Gabe: But... I don't like yow pants you'we weawing.
Me: Well okay. Why not?
Gabe: Wew... I wonted you... to weaw a dwess.

-Food for sanity.
These things right here. Oh man. 6 servings in a package? Really? Wow that's crazy cos I ate the whole thing over the course of yesterday and today. Interesting! But who can say no to dates that "are ripened and dried by the sun to the peak of perfection, chopped for convenience and packed in a foil-fresh zipper bag to lock in the natural goodness". I mean, what more can you ask for in a meal? I mean snack.

-My gracious professors.

-Late night conversations.

-The fact that Rose left her cute grey with light pink pinstripe pants here. Yessss.

-Tim Burton.

-Getting ready for snowboarding.

-I'm sure more good things have happened (actually, I know they have, but I don't believe in long bloggings), but you can take this opportunity to insert your own good thing here, you know, to get you playing positive tapes in your head.

This is how cool Portland is: the apartment direct in my line of vision from my quilted black pleather chair on the sky bridge is flying a pirate flag.
